Our goal is to find a compassionate, kind, and caring support worker to assist in home and community daily living, furthering the clients growth in independence.

- This client is hard of Hearing, lip reads, and uses sign language (ASL) along with English speech. It is extremely important that the applicant for this position has good speech and is able to communicate with the client.

- The applicant will be responsible for ensuring, when in the community, the environment is safe and accommodating to the clients needs. This client has a prosthetic leg and has recently had a hip surgery so experience assisting with the use of a wheelchair and/or walker is beneficial.

- The applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds as this the weight of a travel wheel chair
- The successful candidate will be able to guide and support the client through the daily living routine as follows:

- Assisting the client with making meals and encouraging the client to assist when appropriate.





- Provide emotional support to the client, listening to the clients needs, and be patient.

- Good communication skills are required as communication may be difficult and require extra time for the client to express thoughts and feelings.

- Have a good driving record and vehicle to drive and assist the client to appointments and facilitate communication if necessary.

- Have positive English skills to take notes of any appointments attended with the client for the client and Guardian.

- Have planning skills and ensure daily activities, programs, and courses of interest to the client are scheduled as required.

- A police check is required.

- A vehicle with insurance and registration is required.

Pay: $22.14 per hour
