Job description:
The Henderson Group is seeking a reliable and experienced Rolloff AZ/DZ Driver to join our team. As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations, and solid knowledge in Rolloff and bins. This position requires heavy equipment operation, and a valid commercial driver's license and an abstract, you must also keep your medical updated with your license.
Responsibilities:
- Operate roll-off trucks (manual and automatic) safely and efficiently
- Load, transport, and unload bins to and from designated locations
- Perform tarping and untarping of bins as required
- Operate a variety of equipment including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and landoff systems
- Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and ensure trucks are in good working condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, routes, and any delays or issues
- Maintain accurate records including delivery logs, inspection reports, and required documentation
- Ensure safe handling and transport of materials at all times
Requirements:
- Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years of roll-off/bin driving experience
- Clean driver’s abstract with no major violations
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of vehicle inspection and basic maintenance (asset)
- Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmissions
- Experience with tarping systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
