About the Role

At Nexxt Ideas, quality isn't a phase at the end of a project. It's baked into how we build.

We're a custom software firm building web apps, mobile apps, hardware integrations, and AI-powered systems for enterprise clients in logistics, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Our builds have physical components too. Bluetooth, IoT, and device integrations are part of the work.

We're looking for a QA Analyst who can hit the ground running, take direction from our QA Lead, and own their piece across multiple active projects. If you write test plans from scratch, ask hard questions before a release, and ship with confidence, this role fits.

We're a small, fast-moving team. You'll work directly with the QA Lead, developers, and project manager. Your judgement counts.

What You'll Be Testing

- Web and mobile applications (iOS and Android)
- System connectivity and integrations
- Hardware-connected features (Bluetooth, IoT devices, physical component integrations)
- AI-assisted workflows and automation systems
- Enterprise client-facing software in logistics and manufacturing environments

What You'll Do

- Qualify business requirements against acceptance criteria before testing begins
- Write test plans and add them to tickets
- Review dev work, documenting findings with notes and video
- Create transparent, reproducible bug tickets
- Deliver a final QA report before release
- Check system connectivity on more technical projects




- Manage QA across multiple concurrent projects at different stages

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years in software QA or testing
- Solid grasp of QA methodologies, test planning, and the full SDLC
- Proven experience writing and executing manual test cases, test plans, and bug reports
- Mobile app testing (iOS and/or Android)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments working alongside developers and product teams
- Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools (Jira, Trello, Linear, or similar)
- Comfortable with Git and basic version control workflows
- Comfortable managing QA across multiple concurrent projects with different clients, stages, and stacks
- Can explain a bug or quality risk clearly to both developers and non-technical stakeholders
- Open to using AI tools in QA work and improving how testing gets done

Bonus Points

- Hands-on with automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
- Experience with performance or load testing tools (k6, JMeter)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into deployment workflows
- Hardware or device testing experience (Bluetooth, IoT, embedded software, physical integration QA)
- Background in startups, SaaS, or fast-paced product environments
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG)
- Based in Calgary, AB
