Technical Artist (Houdini) | North America | Canada | Europe | Fully Remote
Escape Velocity is seeking a Technical Artist responsible for developing and maintaining Houdini and PCG tools and content.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with art and engineering teams to understand art requirements and technical limitations.
- Assist art teams in solving problems using procedural tools.
- Research and prototype current techniques to enhance content production efficiency.
- Develop automated content optimization tools.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in a Technical Art-related role.
- Experience with Houdini, Houdini Engine (preferably in Unreal Engine), and other procedural tools like PCG in Unreal.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python, and understanding of Object-Oriented programming.
- Experience with at least one AAA title on current or previous console generations.
- Strong artistic and technical background, with the ability to create functional tools that improve artists' workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, autonomy, quick learner, and team player.
