What are the Responsibilities
- Drive the full operational performance of the body shop—profitability, productivity, and workflow optimization
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and support staff—building a high-performance, accountable culture
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, repair flow, and resource allocation
- Monitor and elevate technician efficiency, workmanship quality, and shop output
- Manage estimates, invoicing, and insurance claims with a focus on accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction
- Own financial performance—budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements and revenue growth opportunities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and industry regulations
- Build strong relationships with customers, insurers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
What are the Requirements
- Red Seal Certification (Body Shop Technician) required
- 7+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck or similar body shop environment
- Proven success in a leadership role, managing teams and driving results
- Strong technical expertise in repair processes, estimating, and insurance workflows
- Financial and operational acumen—comfortable managing budgets, KPIs, and performance targets
- Customer-first mindset with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office and shop/dealership management systems
