About Us
The DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies provides a unique interdisciplinary approach to the study of management, emphasizing the social science and evidence-based foundations of management education. Our faculty are dedicated educators and academics engaged in world-class research focusing on the areas of corporate governance and consumer and organizational behaviour.
Undergraduate students can study in one of five core management areas - Accounting, Consumer Behaviour, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management & Legal Studies - or in the Commercial Aviation Management program.
Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will support the research activities for Professor Samantha Hancock's projects in adherence with ethics protocols and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with literature reviews as needed on various topics related to the research of Professor Samantha Hancock
- Download articles from the university library
- Prepare meeting materials for research team meetings
- Prepare materials for submission to ethics review board
- Basic data analysis in SPSS (e.g., descriptive statistics, regression, ANOVA)
- Survey creation in Qualtrics
- Data collection using Prolific
- Prepare summaries of literature reviews and/or study findings as needed
- Available for weekly or bi-weekly meetings via Zoom as needed
Qualifications
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in psychology (knowledge of I/O psych); current Master's student
Requirements and Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in psychology (knowledge of I/O psych); current Master’s student
- Knowledge of social psychological theories of human behaviour
- Knowledge of statistics and research methods
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques/programs (e.g., SPSS, R)
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to complete work according to various deadlines
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience as a research assistant
Experience:
- 1 year of work experience supporting research in a related technical field
