Job description:

Shift Schedule: Shift Rotation, five days per week, between

Monday and Saturday: 6:00am - 2:30pm; 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible to pelletizing finished products (responsible for transferring finished products from the production line to a pallet and getting them ready for shipping). Palletizers shall ensure that pallets are built to proper stacking specifications, and that requested orders are built correctly.
- Responsible for making sure the finished product meets proper requirements (making sure there is a correct code date, correct packaging, ensuring no damaged packaged goods will be shipped, making sure palletized products are clean).
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Antiroom (making sure there isn’t a build up of product or garbage, regular sweeping during downtime, periodic washing of the floors).
- Responsible for assisting the production line in the event of line jams or back-ups.
- Responsible for assisting the production line with the production of certain products (palletizing / wrapping in plastic).
- Responsible for assisting with clean-up at the end of the production shift.
- Palletizer will be responsible for training new hires to the position

Critical Success Factors:

- Operating equipment according to operating procedures
- Supplying work area with packaging materials
- Stacking finished product cases onto pallets
- Performing housekeeping and safety checks
- Completing and recording required weight checks
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, Food Safety, SOPs, OHSA and other pertinent policies, procedures and legislation
- Following recommendations and promoting best practices
- Supporting quality,



and health and safety programs

Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate

- Physically able to lift >20 kg and frequently push or pull >70 kg with frequent lifting and bending.
- Able to perform physical job demands according to body mechanics outlined in the ergonomic training.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-based environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional attitude and demonstrated courtesy to others.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, and reliable.
- Must be able to achieve a working knowledge of all products, housekeeping and sanitation.
- Must be able to organize and adjust to whatever changes that may occur during your shift.
- Must learn and use current procedures and knowledge when it is introduced.
- Duties may be reassigned due to sickness, vacation, compensation or absenteeism.
- Shifts may change
- Good mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Schedule flexibility : able to work mornings, afternoons, and available for working on weekends when required , if customer requirements change
- Additional experience or education and training an asset, i.e. mix making, handling chemicals, food plant sanitation, GMP’s and HACCP

Full-time hours: 40 per week
