Job description and tasks

In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:

- Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College
- Participation in departmental meetings
- Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.
- Performing other department related administrative duties

Required Qualifications

University Degree in Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, or related disciplines.
Demonstrable expertise* in the following four areas:

- Interactive Media
- Creativity Theory and Application
- Systems Thinking / Complex Adaptive Systems
- Scripting and Computational Principles

In addition, demonstrable expertise* in three or more of the following five areas:

- Interactive Art / Cyberart
- Physical Computing / Tangible Media
- Interactive Video, Music and/or Sound Art
- Game Design
- Web Design





- Expertise can be demonstrated by a combination of:

- conferred academic credentials (degrees, diplomas, certificates, university coursework)
- teaching experience
- professional experience
- published work and/or research, artistic practice or performance

Excellent English communication skills

Assets:

- Teaching experience at the College level an asset
- Activity or design-based teaching experience an asset
- Team-teaching experience an asset
- General knowledge of French is an asset.
