Kindergarten/French Teacher, RECE (9 month contract full-time with possibility to renew for the following year)

Qualifications:

- Preference for a Registered Early Childhood Educator (member in good standing)
- Bachelor of Education / Masters of Education (OCT membership in good standing)
- Dual qualification is an asset
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience is preferred
- Able to delivery basic French instruction/lessons to Nursery to Grade 2
- CPR/Criminal reference (vulnerable)

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience

- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, development of program plans and lesson delivery
- Strengths in differentiated learning strategies and multi-sensory teaching and learning
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision making skills
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organization and analytical skills




- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- An enthusiastic work ethic, with a commitment to full participation in the life of the school
- Working knowledge and classroom experience with SMARTboard would be an asset

Responsibilities & Performance Requirements

- Develop a strong rapport with students and families
- Develop and deliver an enriched & inquiry-based program that meets the needs of all students in the class
- Assess and develop an Individual Program for each student that keys into a student’s interests, strengths and areas for to work on
- Communicate regularly with families
- Liaise with Principal and Director
- Organize and lead extra-curricular activities
