Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with consistency and artistry
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Manage ingredient inventory, monitor freshness, and place orders as needed to ensure availability of quality products
- Educate and guide junior kitchen staff or trainees on proper sushi techniques and presentation standards
- Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s quality specifications before serving




- Follow all health regulations and safety protocols diligently

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Experience working with children or teaching culinary skills is a plus, especially for training or educational programs
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
