An opportunity to join our growing team has become available and we are currently seeking experienced Welders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
- Determine weldability of materials
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment

- Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG)
- Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)

- Arc welding machine

Area of specialization
- Custom fabrication
- Precision weld metal parts using TIG and MIG welding machines and techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment set up and operate Welding Machines correctly, identify machine issues and either fix or report them
- Operate equipment safely according to their intended use
- Handle incoming and outgoing parts safely and with care to avoid damage or injury.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing and soldering equipment
- May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications
Qualifications and experience:
- Good Mechanical Blueprint reading skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- A positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic
- Punctual and reliable
- High school
- At least 2 year’s experience in metal fabrication industry
- Need to have the particular PPE (mandatory)
- First Aid certificate is an asset.

- Good eye hand coordination
- Able to stand for extended period
- Able to solve problems and make good decisions
Work Schedule:
Morning Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Afternoon Shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Please note that public transit is not available after 7:00 p.m. in this area. Having access to a personal vehicle is considered an asset.
Graveyard Shift: 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Public transit is not available during these hours. Candidates must have access to a personal vehicle.
Overtime may be required

Wage: $27 to $38.50/hour - depending on skill set & experience
