Heritage Christian Online School is a thriving online learning community offering K-12 home and online education to students across the province. HCOS provides versatile solutions and programming tailored to every child’s learning journey.

HCOS Education Assistants are independent contractors who provide program support, behaviour and academic interventions, and encouragement to Home Learners within the Inclusive Education Department.

The Position:

We are seeking an Education Assistant to work with students in the family home for the 2026-27 school year. This is a part-time contract position that may grow in hours over the course of the school year, depending on student needs and EA skill sets.

- Location: Duncan, BC
- Grades: 10-12
- Schedule: Flexible during school hours
- Hours: 12-24 hours per week

As an Education Assistant, your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the behavioural and grad academic needs of students, providing mentorship to the whole person
- Supporting with scribing, breaking down tasks, and executive functioning
- Differentiating learning based on student ability and learning styles
- Collaborating with the Case Manager and the parent to support personalized learning opportunities
- Assisting in carrying out IEP goals, working alongside the broader student support team

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

- Experience supporting students with autism and anxiety




- Background working in Education, EA Support, Behaviour Intervention, or with children/youth
- Professionals with non-EA specific credentials are encouraged to also apply (e.g., psychology, behaviour analysis, social work, coaching, mathematics, etc.)
- A valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate (or training in process) is considered an asset

What we offer:

- Competitive Wage: $23.97 – $28.13 hourly depending on certification and experience
- Contractor model
