We are seeking a Workplace Technology Technician to provide Tier 2 technical support and ensure employees have reliable access to workplace technology tools. This individual will support end-user hardware, software, mobile devices, collaboration platforms, and workplace technologies across both in office and remote environments. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically strong, and passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for desktop hardware, operating systems, collaboration tools, and business applications
- Troubleshoot and support Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft 365, and related workplace technologies
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and patch laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
- Manage devices using enterprise management tools such as Intune, SCCM, JAMF, or similar MDM platforms
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including device provisioning, account setup, and technology orientation
- Deliver remote and in-person support for employees in hybrid and office environments
- Support collaboration technologies including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, meeting rooms, and conferencing systems
- Maintain hardware and software asset inventories and support lifecycle management processes
- Collaborate with Service Desk teams to resolve escalated incidents and service requests
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and recommend process improvements
- Ensure compliance with endpoint security, patching, encryption, and corporate IT standards
- Participate in technology refreshes, migrations, automation initiatives,
and other IT projects
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and end-user training materials
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of IT support experience in a corporate environment
- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Intune, JAMF, or Workspace ONE
- Experience with hardware deployment, imaging, provisioning, and lifecycle management
- Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, wireless networking, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests while maintaining excellent customer service
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience supporting virtual desktop environments such as Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, or Amazon WorkSpaces
- Understanding of ITIL service management practices
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python
- Industry certifications including CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, Apple ACMT, or ITIL Foundation
