Transparent Motorcars is one of British Columbia's fastest-growing independent automotive dealerships, with over 200 vehicles in inventory, two retail locations, and a full-service department. We are currently implementing CDK Drive and are looking for an experienced dealership accounting qualified to help train our team and establish efficient accounting processes.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dealership Controller, Office Manager, or Senior Dealership Accountant with extensive CDK Drive experience.
This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside our accounting and administrative team, helping them learn CDK while ensuring our dealership accounting processes are accurate and efficient.
This position is ideal for someone who has previously worked at a franchised or independent dealership and enjoys mentoring others.
Responsibilities
- Train accounting and administrative staff on CDK Drive
- Assist with vehicle deal posting and funding
- Review accounting procedures and recommend improvements
- Help establish daily, weekly, and month-end accounting workflows
- Assist with:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Vehicle Inventory
- Customer Deposits
- Floorplan Accounting
- Bank Reconciliations
- General Ledger
- Service & Parts Accounting
- Warranty Accounting
- Month-End Closing
- Answer staff questions and provide hands-on support
- Create efficient accounting procedures and best practices for future growth
- GST/PST reconciliation and remittances
- Financial statement review and account reconciliations
- Finance reserve reconciliation and lender funding
- Deal funding and finance contract verification
- In-house lease accounting and portfolio management
- In-house lease payment tracking, customer accounts, and lease receivables
- In-house lease payoff calculations, early buyouts, and lease maturity processing
- Internal controls for vehicle sales, finance, and accounting operations
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of dealership accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of CDK Drive
- Experience with dealership accounting processes
- Experience posting vehicle deals
- Understanding of dealership financial statements
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to work independently
Preferred
- Previous Controller or Office Manager experience
- Experience in both sales and service accounting
- Experience training staff
- CDK implementation or conversion experience

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time preferred (Part-time may be considered)
- Approximately 1-month contract, with potential for extension
Compensation
- $4,000 - $7,000 cash depending on experience and schedule.
