We are now recruiting candidates for a Temporary Laboratory Technician position located in Pennfield, NB. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Aquaculture industry, then come join our Freshwater Team at Mowi Canada East, Inc.
These positions will be approximately 6 weeks in length with a start date in September. In this temp role you will work to assist in the qPCR lab during our spawning season.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience working in laboratory along with processing experience with RNA extraction for qPCR
- Related post-secondary education and/or experience within the industry is considered an asset
- Well-developed English verbal and written communication
- Physical ability to complete repetitive tasks
- Respect for the need for protected working practices
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely and effectively indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to work 8 to 12 hours per day, 5 to 6 days per week
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada immediately
WHAT WE OFFER
- $18.00-$24.00 per hour depending on experience
- Overtime paid after 44 hours per week
