Job Summary
Responsible for the achievement of territory sales quota, managing and developing the customer base, controlling expenses, and contributing to our client's profitability. Covering an assigned territory, this position will promote medical technology products and solutions to the pre-hospital and healthcare markets, including emergency medical services, municipalities, and other relevant organizations.
This position will be responsible for the Eastern Ontario territory, including Ottawa and Kingston . You must live in the Eastern Ontario region if you are interested in this position.
Essential Functions
- Achieve assigned hardware and disposable sales quotas.
- Responsible for maintaining short- and long-term plans for developing sales in the assigned territory; these plans should include an annual business plan.
- Expected to uncover new business opportunities and develop and maintain an adequate pipeline of potential sales to meet territory sales expectations.
- Required to grow business by gaining competitive share in the assigned territory.
- Provide required in-service education and product training to customers.
- Responsible for ensuring the proper technical scope review has been conducted prior to sale.
- Maintain organized account records, including account profiles, within the company CRM system.
- Responsible for providing various reports as required by management, including weekly expense reports, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and regular up-to-date activity reporting.
- Maintain and track demonstration and evaluation inventory and document usage within the CRM system. Equipment must be maintained and presented in good working order.
- Spend a minimum of three days per week working in the field.
- Other projects as assigned.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- 3+ years of related sales experience required.
- College degree preferred.
- Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience in medical device, healthcare, emergency services, or a related industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical technology products and competitive offerings.
- Strategic and customer-oriented selling skills.
- Professional and ethical behaviour and character.
- Strong organizational, territory management, and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic technical and clinical knowledge sufficient to speak competently about relevant products and solutions.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Physical Demands This is a field-based role that requires the ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, talking, and hearing, as well as frequent repetitive motions. The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Compensation The total target compensation for this position is $220,000 at plan , consisting of a base salary of $65,000 plus variable incentive compensation through the company's sales compensation plan. The position also offers a comprehensive advantages package.
