Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technician to repair and maintain window air conditioners. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring units operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various repair techniques and a solid understanding of HVAC systems, construction, and related trades. Duties

- Diagnose malfunctioning window air conditioning units using schematics and blueprint reading.
- Disassemble units carefully to identify faulty components such as compressors, fans, or electrical parts.
- Repair or replace defective parts utilizing hand tools, welding, plumbing, and other construction skills.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, caulking, and sealing to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct restoration work on damaged units or components, restoring them to proper working condition.
- Install new units or upgrade existing ones with flooring installation, tile laying, or construction painting as needed.
- Follow safety protocols during all repair activities to prevent accidents or damage.




- Document repair procedures and parts used for each unit for record-keeping purposes.

Experience

- Proven experience repairing window air conditioners or similar HVAC equipment.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and familiar with schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting.
- Construction experience is highly desirable, including carpentry, restoration, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting.
- Knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading to accurately diagnose issues.
- Ability to perform caulking and sealing tasks for energy efficiency and weatherproofing.
- Experience working with construction materials or in restoration projects is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
