In this role, you will serve delicious sushi and other Japanese dishes with enthusiasm, ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, highlighting specials and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing of food and beverage transactions
- Serve sushi and other menu items promptly while maintaining presentation quality and adherence to food safety standards
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and service tools in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders, supporting smooth restaurant operations




- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Skills

- Proven experience working as a sushi restaurant server or in a similar food service role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS or equivalent point-of-sale technology
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Solid understanding of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, tipping, and cash handling purposes
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required; hospitality background highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items to increase sales while maintaining guest satisfaction
