No previous valve repair experience is required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship to help you build a rewarding career in the industrial valve service industry.

- Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Petroleum Engineering Technology
- Instrumentation Engineering Technology
- Industrial Maintenance Technology or related mechanical trades

Position Summary

As a Trainee Valve Technician, you will receive hands-on training from experienced technicians while learning to inspect, disassemble, repair, assemble, and test a wide variety of industrial valves. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialized technical skills with long-term career growth potential.

What You'll Learn

- Industrial valve fundamentals and valve operation
- Safe disassembly and assembly of industrial valves
- Inspection techniques and component identification
- Measuring and assessing wear using precision instruments




- Valve repair and refurbishment procedures
- Hydrostatic, pneumatic, and functional testing
- Reading engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Industry quality standards and repair documentation
- Safe use of shop equipment, hand tools, and lifting devices

Responsibilities

- Assist experienced valve technicians with repair and testing activities.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble industrial valves.
- Learn to identify damaged or worn components.
- Assist with valve testing and quality inspections.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow company safety policies and quality procedures.
- Participate in training and continuous skill development.

Qualifications

- Recent graduate or graduating soon from:

Mechanical Engineering Technology

Petroleum Engineering Technology

Instrumentation Engineering Technology

Industrial Maintenance Technology or a related technical program
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and robust work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and quality.

Previous industrial or mechanical experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and lifting equipment.

Pay: $17.56-$20.00 per hour
