Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be vital to keeping our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of cargo
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips, identifying maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff,



and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues

Skills

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting mechanical problems
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks as required
- Knowledge of relevant regulations governing commercial driving and transportation safety
