Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Truck Driver - Class 1, Farmhand to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport farm produce, equipment, and supplies. Additionally, you will assist with various farmhand duties, including equipment operation and basic maintenance tasks.

Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for transporting crops, livestock feed, equipment, and other materials between farm locations and distribution centers
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure safety standards are met before each journey
- Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Support farm operations by operating heavy machinery such as tractors, loaders, or harvesters during busy seasons
- Perform routine automotive repairs and maintenance on trucks and farm equipment to minimize downtime




- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and maintenance activities
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations during transportation and on-farm activities

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within agricultural or related industries
- Skilled in forklift operation with certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tractors, loaders, or harvesters safely and efficiently
- Basic automotive repair knowledge to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork
