Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods between locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal safety and performance
- Load and unload cargo, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment to handle heavy items efficiently
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
- Follow safety protocols at all times,



including proper securing of cargo and adherence to hours-of-service regulations
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to ensure swift resolution and compliance

Experience

- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL)
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation laws
- Familiarity with route planning, GPS navigation, and delivery scheduling software preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and work independently while maintaining attention to detail
