True North Hospitality is hiring Deck Supervisors to help lead our culinary operations at Canada Life Centre. T****his position plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations and memorable experiences for guests attending events at Canada Life Centre.
What to be excited for in this role:
As a Deck Supervisor, you'll work closely with the team to ensure efficient food and beverage service during concerts, sporting events, and other live entertainment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising team members and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coaching, training, and supporting employees to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Maintaining strong communication between concession stands, supervisors, and kitchen staff.
- Ensuring concession stands are fully stocked and operational before and during events.
- Building positive relationships with guests and resolving concerns professionally.
- Monitoring inventory, cleanliness, food safety, equipment operation, and overall stand performance.
- Working with the scheduling team to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Assisting in all Quick Service areas as operational needs require.
- Supporting leadership with daily operations and other assigned duties.
What we need from you:
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in food service, hospitality, concessions, or a related industry.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate employees.
- Excellent customer service, communication,
and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Smart Choices Certification, or willingness to obtain.
- A professional attitude with integrity and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and bend, reach, and lift up to 10 pounds as required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules.
