The Sterling Executive
Group is seeking a small number of accomplished former CEOs and senior enterprise leaders to serve as Sterling Group Chairs. A Sterling Chair brings together confidential groups of up to 10 non-competing CEOs and senior executives. They guide candid discussions, challenge conventional thinking, and help experienced leaders strengthen their judgment, execution, and leadership practice.
This is not a conventional employment, consulting or coaching role. It is an opportunity to build and lead a trusted executive community in which members draw upon decades of shared experience to address consequential business and leadership issues.
A strong candidate will have: Successfully led a substantial and complex organization
Approximately 30 years or more of senior leadership experience The credibility to engage accomplished CEOs as a peer
Strong facilitation, listening,
and relationship-building skills A valuable grasp of fundamental leadership principles A genuine interest in helping other leaders succeed The willingness to help build a high-quality executive group The ability to commit time to building groups Sterling provides its Chairs with a proven group model, orientation, leadership tradecraft resources, ongoing support, and strong assistance with member recruitment. The role is designed for an accomplished executive who wants to remain engaged in the business community while creating a meaningful next chapter.
Time commitment: Approximately 30 hours per month per group, plus member recruitment time
