Job Summary
Looking for a positive, engaging team player to help make a difference for children with, or suspected of having, learning disabilities, in a part-time contract position (September 2026 to August 2027).
Duties
- assist Program Facilitators to run the after-school and summer tutoring program
- tutor elementary aged students
- prepare individualized lesson plans
- write reports
- provide feedback to volunteer tutors
- promote and represent the association at awareness/fundraising events
- take part in ongoing training
- manage the organization’s social media presence
- sign and abide by an oath of confidentiality
- produce a satisfactory police clearance with vulnerable sector check
Skills
- relevant post-secondary education
- excellent written and spoken communication
- academic,
organizational and computer skills
- comfortable working with children, families and volunteers
- an understanding of LD and ADHD
- current CPR and First Aid training is recommended
- fluency in French is an asset
