Whissell is currently looking for an Utility Operator that can run a skidsteer, loader, and packer to join our Lethbridge team! The successful candidate will display high attention to detail as they assist the Team with tasks around the site. Reporting to the Foreman and Superintendent the successful candidate will support Whissell’s vision, mission, S.P.I.R.I.T of values, and three daily pillars of Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.

Job Locations:

- Lethbridge
- County of 40 mil
- Cypress County
- Must have valid driver's license and transportation to commute daily to site
- Some positions are eligible for accommodations or LOA

General Responsibilities:

- Operates in crowded, fast-paced working environments, and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety.
- Performs effective and safe operation of equipment.
- Recognizes existing and potential hazards and knows how to identify these through conducting a field-level pre-job hazard analysis, checking the machine for hazards, and assessing any tasks before starting.

Experience/Qualifications:

- 1-3 or more years of running a Skid Steer, loader, packer
- Underground Utility and Earthworks construction experience are required.
- Operates in crowded, fast-paced working environments, and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety.
- Performs effective and safe operation of equipment.




- Recognizes existing and potential hazards and knows how to identify these through conducting a field-level pre-job hazard analysis, checking the machine for hazards, and assessing any tasks before starting.
