Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting and food preparation. This role involves preparing high-quality cuts of meat, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and presentation of our products while adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests
- Ensure all meat products are handled and stored following food safety standards
- Package meat products efficiently for retail or wholesale sale
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, tools, and equipment
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to customers, answering questions about products




- Follow all safety protocols during food handling and processing activities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the butchery section

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, butchery, or a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to handle knives and cutting tools safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail for exact cuts and product presentation
- Good physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting heavy loads
- Customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Kitchen experience or prior work in a retail or restaurant environment is a plus
- Knowledge of packaging methods for meat products is desirable

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
