Standards for Our Drivers
National Motor Coach Systems is committed to seamless service for our charter bus transportation clients in North America. That commitment to quality begins with our drivers, who are expected to follow the standards listed below.
Prior to the start of the contract, all drivers will be briefed on the event and perform route advances to ensure they know the most direct route as well as alternative routes in case of heavy traffic.
Drivers must always be in communication with the dispatcher via a 2-way radio or a hand-held device capable of transmitting and receiving emails or text messages.
National Motor Coach Systems drivers are expected to comply with the speed limits and obey all traffic signs.
The drivers must wear an ID badge at all times while on duty.
All drivers must speak English fluently. Some drivers will speak additional languages fluently.
Drivers must dress in a professional manner and always remain courteous to the passengers.
All drivers working for National Motor Coach Systems must have a valid Class 2 Alberta driver’s license. A driver’s abstract is pulled twice a year for every driver without exception.
All drivers must undergo a criminal record check and are subject to mandatory and random drug testing.
National Motor Coach Systems is currently accepting applications for dependable coach operators with a clean Class 2 driver’s license with airbrake endorsement for employment to report out of our Banff office. The ideal candidate would be able to:
Operate automatic and standard Prevost® and MCI highway coaches, school buses and 21-24 passenger shuttle buses
Provide excellent customer service
Lift approximately 50 pounds (20 kilos)
Be familiar with tourist attractions and hotels in Alberta and British Columbia
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection
Prepare a daily driver’s log in accordance with governmental hours of service
Work independently and have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
