Friends & Advocates Peel is a non-profit organization rooted in compassion, community, and dignity. Since 1986, we have provided social rehabilitation and mental health support services to adults aged 16 and older throughout the Peel Region.

Through accessible, culturally responsive services, we empower individuals and communities to build resilience, strengthen well-being, and achieve their goals. Working alongside community partners and people with lived experience, we deliver innovative programs, advocate for meaningful systemic change, and promote awareness that reduces stigma and fosters hope.

Our organization offers more than 70 psychosocial, recreational, educational, and wellness focused programs each month. Programs are delivered both in person and virtually through zoom to ensure broad accessibility and meaningful engagement opportunities.

Responsibilities

✅ Deliver compassionate, recovery-oriented support to participants.

✅ Facilitate psychosocial, recreational, educational, and wellness-focused programs.

✅ Lead and support both in-person and zoom based activities.

✅Encourage participant engagement and social inclusion.

✅ Provide crisis support and intervention as required.

✅ Complete participant documentation and program records.





✅ Support community outings and special events.

✅ Collaborate with staff across all service areas.

✅ Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

 Diploma or degree in Social Services, Community Development, Mental Health, Recreation Therapy, Human Services, or a related field.

 Minimum two years' experience working in community-based social services or mental health settings.

 Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

 Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $51,089.00-$57,501.00 per year
