Your Role

Your role is simple: create an experience guests want to return for.

Every interaction, from the first greeting to the final goodbye, should reflect the warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail that define Shay. You won’t simply serve tables; you’ll create moments that make guests feel genuinely cared for and excited to return.

Your responsibilities are to:

- Deliver warm, personalized service that makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed.
- Build meaningful connections while anticipating guests’ needs.
- Confidently guide guests through our seasonal menu, wine list, and beverage program.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team to deliver a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain a polished, organized section while upholding Shay’s standards of professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

- Have previous serving experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.




- Believe hospitality is about creating experiences, not simply taking orders.
- Are warm, attentive, organized, and composed under pressure.
- Communicate confidently and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Take pride in the small details that elevate every guest experience.
- Welcome feedback, take ownership, and are committed to continuous improvement.
- Have a genuine passion for Italian cuisine, wine, and hospitality.
- Are available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Hold a valid Ontario Smart Serve Certification.

Bonus points if you have:

- Experience working in an Italian restaurant.
- WSET certification or a strong interest in wine.
- Experience using Silverware POS or a similar restaurant management system.
