With 10 branches in Eastern Canada, the Toronto branch is seeking a driven, hard-working individual to join our team in the position of CYLINDER HEAD TECHNICIAN - MACHINE SHOP, HEAVY DUTY ENGINE
Job summary
- Cleaning, magnafluxing and pressure testing heads;
- Cutting and replacing valve seats;
- Replacing various styles of valve guides;
- Resurfacing;
- Repairing threaded holes;
- Replace various styles of injector cups;
Important: This description is not exhaustive, as the employee may be assigned any other related tasks necessary for the execution of their duties.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in similar duties is mandatory.
- A combination of relevant experience and knowledge may be considered.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret specs provided;
- Ability to diagnose head failures;
- Able to operate lathes, drill presses, welders and overhead cranes;
- Will be trained on our computer systems;
- Autonomy and judgment.
Working conditions
Salary : Competitive salary to be determined, based on experience
