Gobind Sarvar Brampton is looking for an experienced and dedicated Elementary Teacher for the 2026-27 academic session to teach students in Primary/Junior grades. The ideal candidates will bring a strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum and demonstrate a commitment to student achievement, engagement, and character development.
Requirements:
- Teaching experience is mandatory; applications without prior teaching experience will not be considered.
- Experience teaching in a primary/junior/intermediate setting is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to plan and deliver curriculum-based, inquiry-driven lessons across multiple subject areas, including language, math, science, and social studies.
- Strong ability to implement assessment for, as, and of learning, and to track and report on student progress using various tools and strategies.
- Must be fluent in English with excellent oral, written, and reading communication skills.
- OCT certification is recommended; candidates who have applied for OCT will also be considered.
- Effective classroom management, organization, and the ability to foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging classroom setting.
- Must work collaboratively with staff and parents to support student learning and school-wide goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of young learners.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages communication and collaboration among students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Utilize technology and educational resources to support learning objectives.
