Commonsense is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join an international company in the chemical industry based in Montreal, Canada.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations and supervising the day-to-day activities of the team
Responsibilities:
- Check material against supplier’s documentation and purchase order and register in SAP
- Unload deliveries from vehicles
- Produce and attach pallet label indicating order number, delivery date, quantity, product number and description for all daily shipments
- Place delivered stock in appropriate pallet location in the correct Warehouse.
- Report low stock items to the Materials Controller
- Report any nonconforming items to the Materials Controller and Quality Departments by using the Supplier Non-Conformance forms
- Accurately pick orders from stock and prepare them for despatch using the FIFO principal
- Check that the correct products are picked against customer requirements and cross referenced against the SAP Pick List
- Ensure that all finished goods are packed correctly so as to avoid damage during transportation to the customer
- Ensure that general housekeeping is maintained to a high standard and that waste is kept to a minimum
- Load all vehicles arriving to collect goods
- Ensure that drivers arriving to collect goods have the correct paperwork to collect the required goods, paying particular attention to drivers who report to collect goods of a hazardous nature (ADR
- Monitor stock of pallets both Euro and Standard and reorder as required

What are we looking for?
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in general warehouse operations
- Experience working with SAP is an advantage
- Experience operating warehouse handling equipment
- Fluent in English and French
- Valid Forklift Truck Licence
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively and consistently deliver high-quality work
- Responsible, reliable, proactive and well-organised, with strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
