Galaxy Freightline Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our busy day shift operations at our Mississauga cross-dock facility.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising warehouse staff, coordinating freight movement, and ensuring our customers receive the exceptional service Galaxy Freightline is known for.

About the Role

Our warehouse is a high-volume cross-dock operation handling:

- Less-than-Truckload (LTL) freight
- Full Truckload (FTL) freight
- Freight consolidation and deconsolidation
- 53' dry vans
- Rail containers
- Straight trucks

Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Operations Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Claims Representative, you'll play a key role in ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time.

What You'll Do

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will:

- Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of our cross-dock warehouse.
- Direct a team of warehouse associates, forklift operators, and dock staff.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of trailers, containers, and straight trucks.
- Oversee freight consolidation and deconsolidation.
- Ensure freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Assign dock doors and manage daily labour resources.
- Maintain warehouse organization and productivity.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture.
- Coach, mentor, and develop warehouse employees.
- Work closely with Dispatch and Customer Service to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Assist with investigating freight damage and operational issues.




- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety standards.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 10 years of warehouse experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience in a high-volume cross-dock environment.
- Experience handling LTL and FTL freight.
- Forklift operating experience.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and transportation or warehouse management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of freight securement and load planning.
- TDG certification (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid certification is considered an asset.

Schedule

- Day Shift 6am to 3pm
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime as required to meet operational demands
