Position Overview

Woodco Industries is seeking an experienced, safety-oriented Wheel Loader Operator to join our team in Barriere. In this role, you will be a key player in our log yard and milling operations, ensuring the efficient flow of material to our Scragg and Band Mills while maintaining a high standard of equipment care.

Key Responsibilities

- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on CAT 950GC and Volvo L110H wheel loaders.
- Mill Support: Feed logs to the Scragg and Band Mill infeed's to keep production moving.
- Log Management: Organize logs for the HMC debarker, feed the unit, and manage debarked inventory for milling.
- Shipping & Maintenance: Load pulp chip and hog trucks; perform general yard maintenance and log organization as directed.
- Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other yard operators and mill staff to maintain a safe, productive environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Proven track record as a heavy machinery operator,



specifically with wheel loaders in an industrial or forestry setting.
- Technical Skill: Ability to conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to workplace safety and following established protocols.
- Reliability: Ability to manage a demanding workload and adapt to changing daily priorities.

Schedule & Hours

- Shift: Typically 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Structure: 4–5 days per week.
- Flexibility: Start and end times may vary based on log yard activity and production needs.
- Breaks: Two 15-minute paid coffee breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
