Groundsman: $28–$33/hr
Climber: $33–$40/hr
Crew Leader: top of the ladder — lead your own crew

Show up, work hard, and you move up. Most groundsmen who put in the work make climber within a year.

Advancement is based on a structured evaluation system — not favouritism.

We're RTE Tree Service, a busy, growing crew out of Waterdown. We've got the trucks, the equipment, and the work. What we need is experienced people who know what they're doing and want to build something.

We run year-round. We pay well. And if you're good, you won't stay at the bottom long.

Every day you will:

- Work alongside an experienced crew on removals, trimming, and pruning
- Operate and maintain equipment (chippers, trucks, chainsaws, rigging)
- Follow safety protocols on every job — no shortcuts
- Communicate clearly with your crew lead and the team
- Represent RTE professionally on every site

To be successful on Day 1, you will need:

- Experience in tree service, arboriculture, or a related outdoor trade
- Experience with tree care safety standards
- Knowledge of tree and shrub species




- Ability to work outdoors in all weather — this job is physically demanding
- A valid Ontario G licence (required)
- Reliability — your crew depends on you showing up
- A hard-working attitude and willingness to learn

What you get:

- $28–$40/hr depending on experience (climbers earn more)
- Time-and-a-half after 8.8 hours/day OR 44 hours/week
- Full-time, year-round work

- Certification pay bumps: DZ/AZ +$0.50/hr, ISA +$1.00/hr, Hydro +$1.00/hr
