The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Assists in formulation of plan of care with RPN/Nursing Supervisor
- Observes and promptly reports changes in a resident's physical and emotional condition
- Maintains accurate documentation according to policy
- Reports all incidents promptly and accurately
- Assists in maintaining adequate nursing supplies
- Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner;
- Performs resident care as documented in plan of care
- Performs other related duties as required.

The ideal candidates will possess:

- Knowledge of the Resident Bill of Rights
- Post secondary education in related care fields [e.g. Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Aide (HCA)
- Able to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors;




- Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills;
- Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints;

- Shift premium for weekends $0.50
