We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front End Assistant/Cashier to join our team. Packing member orders into boxes and transfer items to a seperate cart for Cashiers. Perform clean up, cart retrieval, merchandise restocking and runs for items as directed. Provide a high-level of member service. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales and member service skills while contributing to a positive shopping experience for our members.
Responsibilities
- Greet members, help members load order onto conveyor belt, determine member packing preferences, answer questions, relate information on special promotions, thank members and provide prompt and courteous member service.
- Pack member orders into boxes and load to a separate cart or flatbed. Check packaging for tampering. Follow all safety and security procedures. Assist members loading orders into car when appropriate.
- Run for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies and item numbers as requested by cashier to keep the lines moving smoothly
- Transfer items not on belt to separate cart or flatbed as cashiers scan them. Follow proper departmental procedures for performance of duties
- Maintain cleanliness of register area and general front end area. Clean spills and trip hazards immediately
- Retrieve carts and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook, pushing no more than 8 carts together. Keep lot area free of debris and sweep in front of building.
- Perform related tasks such as set up and closing duties for the department such as , returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers and cleaning area.
- Operate mechanical trash compactor/cardboard bailer.
- Support cashier during various promotions.
Skills
- Solid communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills

- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
- Member service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations gracefully
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
