Your Contribution:
Your main responsibilities
- Prepare and develop civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications, reports, and technical deliverables for municipal, land development, transportation, and infrastructure projects;
- Complete engineering analyses and contribute to the design of civil infrastructure systems in collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams;
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from proposal through design, construction, and project close-out;
- Perform construction inspections, field reviews, site visits, and prepare associated documentation and reporting;
- Support contract administration activities, including quantity take-offs, cost estimates, tender documents, and review of contractor submissions;
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to support successful project delivery;
- Review engineering drawings and technical documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements;
- Identify technical challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions during design and construction;
- Contribute to business development activities, proposal preparation, and client relationship management as opportunities arise;
- This position is remote; however, the successful candidate must be based in Atlantic Canada and available for occasional travel to project sites and regional offices as required;
- Promote and apply Englobe's health and safety rules, policies, and procedures at project sites and offices, while taking every reasonable precaution to protect your own health and safety and that of fellow workers, clients, and the public.
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university;
- Registered as a Skilled Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible for registration with the applicable provincial engineering association;
- 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience, preferably in municipal infrastructure, land development, transportation, or consulting engineering;
- Experience in civil design, construction administration, project coordination, and construction inspection;
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related civil engineering design software;
- Experience with Hydraulic/Hydrologic modelling software such as PCSWMM, HydroCAD, or similar programs is considered an asset;
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, drawings, specifications, and contract documents;
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams;
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
