Job Summary

We are seeking a energetic and passionate Kitchen Chef to join our vibrant culinary team at Sushi Mura Lougheed. Responsibilities

- Lead food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all sushi and Japanese dishes
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety standards and health regulations
- Oversee food service operations during busy hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders and excellent customer satisfaction
- Maintain inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and monitor stock to prevent shortages or waste




- Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation practices at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize kitchen workflows and improve overall efficiency

Skills

- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and sushi craftsmanship
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
- Extensive food handling knowledge with a focus on safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant management experience is highly desirable
- Exceptional communication skills for effective coordination with team members and front-of-house staff
- Deep understanding of hospitality principles, customer service excellence, and food service operations
