Role Description This full-time remote Process Server role is responsible for serving legal documents such as summonses, subpoenas, and complaints in a timely and compliant manner. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing service orders, planning routes, and traveling to designated locations to deliver documents while maintaining professional and courteous communication with recipients. The Process Server will document all attempts and completed services accurately, prepare affidavits of service, and submit detailed reports using company systems and tools. The role also involves coordinating with the investigations team and clients, responding to inquiries, and following up on any issues related to service.
The position requires adherence to state and local regulations, strict confidentiality, and consistent availability during agreed-upon working hours.
Qualifications
- Solid organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills to handle multiple service requests and maintain accurate documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and document recipients in a professional manner.
- Basic technology skills, including use of smartphones, GPS, and online reporting systems; familiarity with office software is beneficial.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable laws and regulations related to process serving and legal procedures.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly within assigned areas.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain composure in potentially sensitive or stressful situations.
- High level of integrity, respect for confidentiality, and commitment to ethical professional conduct.
- Previous experience in legal services, law enforcement, investigations, or a related field is a plus; relevant certifications or registration as a process server (where required by law) are beneficial.
