Job Overview
Dairy Queen is seeking friendly, energetic, and customer-focused team members to join our team. As a key part of our restaurant, you will be responsible for delivering excellent food service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves food preparation, cashiering, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Ideal candidates will have experience in food service or the food industry, possess strong time management skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of food items including ice cream treats, snacks, and beverages with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer transactions accurately while providing friendly and efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food preparation and service areas
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures




- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Follow sanitation protocols to ensure a safe dining environment for both guests and staff

Requirements

- Prior experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service is preferred; restaurant or food industry experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism

Job Types: Full-time, Part time

Pay: $18.00-$18.25 per year
