Job Summary
This role involves maintaining bee colonies, assisting with the harvesting of honey, and ensuring the overall health of the apiary.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and monitor bee colonies to ensure their health and productivity.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and heavy equipment used in apiary operations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks related to hive management.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed when handling hives and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of hives for signs of disease or distress.
- Harvest honey and other bee products, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Follow safety protocols while working with bees and operating machinery.

Requirements

- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance.
- Handle heavy lifting, as this role requires moving hives and equipment regularly. (70 lbs +)
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Experience

- No experience required, will train on the job

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $16.50-$19.00 per hour
