Job Overview

Seeking a detail-oriented newly licensed Lawyer to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, negotiation, and legal drafting skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters in Family Law, Criminal Law, and Immigration ensuring compliance and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for preparing legal documents, conducting research, and filing applications.

Duties

- Conduct comprehensive legal research
- Draft, review, and revise a wide range of legal documents including contracts, agreements, and memoranda
- Assist in case managing legal matters

Requirements

- L1 Licensee in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Proven experience in legal research, negotiation, and drafting of legal documents




- Proficiency with Clio and other practice management softwares
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to be resourceful
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Expert English fluency; French fluency an asset

Pay: $45.00-$65.00 per hour
