Overview

We are seeking a friendly and qualified Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience and supporting the overall operation of our restaurant. Previous hospitality or food service experience is preferred, but we value excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude above all. The Host/Hostess will play a key role in managing reservations, seating arrangements, and maintaining smooth guest flow to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar software
- Provide menus and answer initial questions about the restaurant offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, taking reservations or providing information as needed




- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit and address any concerns promptly
- Support the team during busy periods by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating

Skills

- Strong guest services skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette for reservation management and guest inquiries
- Ability to work well within a team and coordinate effectively with staff members
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
