ACS Valves is a leading manufacturer of Rotary Airlock Valves and Gypsum Pin Mixers and is looking to add a Manual Lathe Operator to our manual machining department.
Essential Functions
- Read drawings and work orders to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, tools to be used, materials for the job and setup requirements.
- Use various measurement tools to confirm dimensions and tolerance of machined parts.
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of production.
- Able to use overhead crane or jib.
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Conditions
- Able to lift 35 lbs
- Frequently noisy working setting.
- Overtime as required.
- Use of PPE, including safety glasses and steel toe boots.
- Able to remain standing for long periods of time
