Job Description Summary
The Recovery Technician will be responsible for operating our hybrid units, straight truck & bulk tanker, while collecting used oil, filters and plastics along with part washer services throughout the designated province. The Recovery Technician will require a high level of professionalism and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote GFL’s wide range of service offerings.
Key Accountabilities
- Follows schedules and service orders as required
- Provides exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promotes GFL’s service offerings
- Completes service paperwork in accordance with GFL and TDG regulations
- Operates all required transport equipment safely & ensures regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components and other assigned equipment
- Participates in GFL’s safety programs
Requirements
- Class 1 Driver’s License (or provincial equivalent) with a clean driver abstract
- Ability to work independently
- Physically able to perform heavy manual labor,
including moving and handling heavy drums
- Customer oriented
- TDG knowledge and experience
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Experience working in a safety sensitive workplace
- Ability to work out of town and overnight trips up to three days at a time
