La Grotta Del Formaggio has been a family-run Italian deli and specialty grocery store since 1979. We are proud to bring authentic Italian food, exceptional customer service, and freshly made panini to our communities through our locations in Vancouver and Burnaby Heights.

We are currently looking for a Sandwich Maker / Deli Clerk to join our team at our Burnaby Heights location. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for food, and take pride in providing outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Promote Italian food products
- Prepare and serve deli products, especially sandwiches and cold cuts
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist customers with their orders and provide excellent customer service
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and grills
- Receive and stock inventory as needed

Experience:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service environment is preferred




- Knowledge of basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
-Experience preparing coffee and espresso-based beverages is considered an asset.
