Position: Part Time Team Lead

Site: Huron College

Site Address: 1349 Western Road, London, ON N6G 1H3

Hours: Thursday, Friday and Saturday (8PM to 3AM)

Payrate: $22/hr

Union Status: Non-union

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly

Key responsibilities

- Working on assigned shifts, you will oversee the residence check-in guards and act as a liaison between the guards and other side contacts.
- Maintaining confidentiality, you will be expected to interact with students, staff and members of the public to provide directions and promote good customer service while providing a security presence.
- Implement security measures to protect property, control access to sites and ensure client rules and regulations are followed
- Check In each student – confirm that they are in residence with ID
- Watch for and report irregularities by completing incident reports such as security breaches, facility safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency services such as police,



fire and ambulance personnel as required.
- Enforce compliance to company policies and procedures
- Training other staff members whenever necessary
- First Aid – be prepared to administer when required
- Maintaining a positive, productive work environment
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Prerequisites

- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- 6 months to 1 year experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor is a must
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- - Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
