About the Employer

The Bubble operates an indoor recreation and entertainment facility in North York, Ontario. The business provides recreational activities, private events, birthday parties, group bookings, school outings, corporate events, and customer-focused entertainment experiences. The employer is seeking a Recreation Manager to oversee daily recreation operations, staff coordination, program delivery, customer experience, bookings, and event execution.

Job Duties

The Recreation Manager will perform the following duties:

- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the daily operations of the recreation and entertainment services offered by the business.
- Manage and coordinate private events, birthday parties, group bookings, school events, team events, and other recreational activities.
- Supervise, schedule, train, and guide staff involved in guest services, party hosting, recreational activities, event setup, customer service, and facility operations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operating procedures, customer service standards, safety practices, staff guidelines, and internal policies for recreation and event operations.
- Review daily operational performance, customer feedback, event issues,



staff performance, and service quality to improve the guest experience.
- Coordinate staff assignments, event timelines, activity areas, customer flow, booking requirements, and operational resources to ensure events and recreational activities run smoothly.
- Assist with budget planning, cost control, staffing needs, inventory requirements, supplies, and operational resource allocation.
- Provide guidance to staff on recreation programming, guest interaction, conflict resolution, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, schools, community organizations, corporate clients, families, and other partners regarding recreational events, bookings, and service arrangements.
- Support marketing, promotions, partnerships, sponsorships, and business development initiatives related to recreation and entertainment services.
- Ensure that the facility, activity areas, equipment, and event spaces are maintained in a safe, clean, organized, and customer-ready condition.
- Prepare operational reports, booking summaries, staff schedules, incident notes, customer feedback summaries, and other records required by management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable workplace policies,



health and safety requirements, customer service standards, and Ontario employment standards.

Employment Requirements

- Completion of a college diploma in recreation management or sports management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in recreation management and acility operations, .
- Experience supervising staff, coordinating events, managing customer service operations, or overseeing recreational programming is required.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to work versatile shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs and scheduled events.
- Ability to manage multiple bookings, staff assignments, customer concerns, event schedules, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, guest service standards, and recreation/event operations is an asset.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, booking systems, scheduling tools, email, and office software is an asset.
